Party/Wedding planning, what should I major/minor in college?
I want to be a wedding/party planner, and I’m a junior in high school. I’m beginning to look at colleges since I only have one more year of school left. When I go to college, what should my major/minor be for wedding/party planning?

You could do a search on “wedding planner education” or something like that. You’d probably need to find a specialized career college or community college or a school that specializes in hospitality services or something similar.

I would major in Hospitality Management. You might want to talk to some wedding/event planners or even job shadow some for a day or so. The most important factor in becoming a successful wedding planner will be your portfolio which only comes with time. Being a good schmoozer will help too!
